Repetition & Recall

Explore repeated questions, repeated stories, and whether answers seem to stay with them.

They ask the same question several times in a short period.

The same question comes up multiple times within minutes or hours, as if it had not been asked before.

They tell the same story several times.

A story, comment, or memory is repeated multiple times during the same visit, meal, or conversation.

They keep asking about the same plan or schedule.

Even after the plan is explained, they repeatedly ask about the time, destination, meal, appointment, pickup, or family visit.

They do not remember just asking or saying something.

When reminded that they just asked or said it, they have little or no memory of doing so.

They keep checking whether they just did something.

After locking the door, turning off the stove, taking medication, or paying a bill, they repeatedly check or ask whether it was done.

They restart the same conversation topic as if it is new.

A conversation ends, then soon after they begin the same topic again as if it has not been discussed.
